Sometimes, the old ways are the best. More frequently, however, they just happen to be the coolest. The FIXIE™ is a modernized take on a classic profile. The star of the show is obvious: the pinned F-marked front sight base. While most of the draw to this layout is definitely the aesthetic value, it is a very robust front sighting solution that also doubles as a bump protector for any expensive lasers you may be inclined to mount on the top rail. While you can configure this upper receiver group with a standard 16" barrel, the FIXIE™ really shines with a shorter bore length like 13.9" or 14.5" with a pinned and welded suppressor host. This helps to both keep things light on the front end of the rifle as well as reduce the occlusion or shadowing in the beam of a weapon mounted light. The available options are selected from the various components we use in our standardized product lines and are offered up to the more discerning shooter to have it built to their spec. Since the upper receiver group houses critical infrastructure for both reliable and safe function, each URG is assembled to the same standards as our complete firearms and test-fired before shipping out. This includes the lapped receiver face, pinned gas block, and polished feed ramps.
The upper receiver, barrel, and bolt head are all individually engraved with matching numbers noted on a certificate of authenticity that ships with your rifle for QC during the assembly process and down the line should you need work done on your rifle.
This page is for mid-length barrels with a pinned front sight base. Click here for shorties or here for a low-profile, mid-length URG.
