*** CUTOFF FOR NEXT RUN: MARCH 31, 2025 ***
We must have your receiver in-hand by the date above to run in the next batch. Receivers that arrive after this date will be delayed to the next run.
TEACHING AN OLD DOG NEW TRICKS.
As the AR-15 has grown in ubiquity, so, too, have many of your stockpiles. With the release of our new Mk3 GLC lowers that are adapted for use with an ambidextrous bolt catch/release mechanism, we wanted to offer the same conversion as a service. Finally, you can add this highly desirable feature of modernity to one of your old steeds without adding yet another serialized part to your safe. This service is available for FORGED MIL-SPEC LOWERS ONLY.
HOW IT WORKS
After you place your order, we will contact you with instructions for shipment. We will collect orders for these on a monthly basis to run them all in one batch to spread out the setup costs as much as possible to keep it affordable. After your receiver is cut, we will deburr the channel, refinish the raw aluminum with your choice of finish, and install the ambidextrous bolt catch assembly to test the fit and make it ready to go out of the box.
The programming is setup around our in-house lower receivers, but we have had success with a variety of other receivers that were in-spec including Aero Precision and Spike's Tactical. Since there is a such a wide variety in forgings and final machining, we will do our best to make the cut as clean as possible post-machining. If your receiver (specifically the bolt catch channel) is out of spec, there may be additional tool marks resulting from fitment by hand to ensure proper function of the bolt catch lever. Receivers with staked endplates are compatible with our fixturing and thus are fine. However, there may be additional fees for removal or disassembly of any other components or small parts other than the current bolt catch assembly.
WARRANTY
We will ensure proper fit and function of your lower with the new bolt catch/release mechanism. With the variation that can exist across different lower receivers, there may be additional tool marks or material removed to accommodate for those variations to create the necessary clearance so that the new assembly works. If there is some kind of issue with the machine that scraps your receiver, we will replace it with one of our own (including the transfer fee for pickup at your local FFL). However, any cosmetic issues will not be covered on account of the nature of the process.
