The FIXIE™ LT came about in a fevered dream within the restless, tormented mind of our favorite perpetual rifle tinkerer, Hop. The root of the idea was to create a lightweight, serviceable rifle that pinned down the uncontrollable urge to reconfigure a rifle with no end. What resulted was a combination between the retro-mod aesthetic of the modern FIXIE™ rifle and a smattering of classic AR-15 carbines throughout history that remains modular, but not overwhelming; adaptable, yet not all-consuming. The FIXIE™ LT is perfect for the shooter who wants a rifle that spends all of its time at the range and not constantly under the knife at the workbench.

To keep in the spirit of reduced weight, Hop specified a 14.7" Ballistic Advantage® Modern Series pencil profile barrel. Button-rifled from Mil-Spec 4150CMV, they are stress-relieved and treated with a durable QPQ Melonite finish inside and out for corrosion resistance and surface hardness. Being a pencil profile, they are exceptionally lightweight with a slim profile the full-length of the barrel featuring a .625" gas block journal (as opposed to the more common .750"). The 0.078" gas port is a touch larger than the ideal 50/50 tuning on our 14.5" SOCOM barrels, but this aids in reliability in adverse conditions when shooting unsuppressed as it is meant to be. Should you swap the muzzle device out to use it as a suppressor host, the rifle will not be so overgassed that the action outruns the magazine and causes malfunctions. Should you desire a more idea tuning, this can be accomplished by simply swapping out the buffer system with a heavier weight and spring. Per Hop's spec, the venerable A2 flash hider is pinned/welded in place to cap off the barrel assembly.
As with all of our rifles, the FIXIE™ LT comes standard with our M4P BCG. It starts with a full-mass carrier turned from 8620 steel with a mil-spec 4130 gas key that is sealed with high-temp gasket compound and secured in place with staked Grade-8 OCKS fasteners. The bolt head is machined from the time-honored Carpenter No. 158 alloy, precision ground, and HPT/MPI with a deep “MP” marking and QC number matching the barrel with which it is paired. The extractor is made to mil-spec from cold-drawn 4130 alloy, shot-peened for durability and features a 5-coil Sprinco XP-5 enhanced spring with a stupendously long service life of 25,000 rounds or more. Likewise, the S7 tool steel ejector is driven by Sprinco’s enhanced ejector spring. Lastly, the firing pin is machined from mil-spec 8740 alloy and shot-peened like the extractor for durability. The shining feature of this BCG is that every component in the assembly is plated in a durable hard-chrome finish that is a breeze to clean and maintains an exceptional base level of lubricity to keep your rifle running even in the absence of lubrication. Racking this bolt is a forged Mil-Spec charging handle.
Gracing your support hand is the classic Magpul® MOE SL® polymer handguard. This lightweight, drop-in assembly features the modularity of M-LOK® accessory rails and the added bonus of being user-serviceable in the case that you damage it. This assembly is more than serviceable for mounting accessories like foregrips, weapon-mounted lights, and the included 4140 steel QD sling mount from BCM®.

As with all our firearms, every component is inspected and assembled by procedure before the complete firearm is test fired with live ammunition. It is our guarantee that they walk as well as they talk. So, should you encounter any issues arising from component selection or assembly error, we will fix it under the provisions of our FYS Limited Lifetime Guarantee. The upper receiver, barrel, and bolt head are all individually engraved with matching numbers noted on a certificate of authenticity that ships with your rifle for QC during the assembly process and down the line should you need work done on your rifle.
